Wild Fire of God

May 9, 2016 By Juanita Ryan 9 Comments

Wild Fire of God,

consume—
take into the body of Light you are
the horror
perpetrated in greed and blindness
on this one

transform
to lighter-than-air ash
the weight of confusion, fear, despair
still carried in the fibers
of this being

sweep clean,
as you roar and burn away
the lies
to expose what was never lost
or harmed

blaze bright—
let shine the gold and silver treasure
you hid and held,
and will always hold,
within.

    Just wow.
Not only are the words poignant and gripping, but what they point to beyond themselves shows an equal balance of pain and trust. Oh to have the trust equal to our woundedness! Then we will run towards Him instead of imploding as we retreat from the only real healing this universe has to offer.

Celebrating your vulnerable honesty today, Juanita.

    Blessings.

This truth changes so much, doesn’t it?

Yes and no. Much of what was never “lost or harmed” is always the same for me. It’s just the FEAR of letting it out and letting it SHINE that terrifies me. Why this is, I still don’t know yet, but just to be myself seems at times too vulnerable and therefore not an option.

I love what you are saying here about the vulnerability of letting the beauty within shine. It is so true. And so worth pursuing. I know when I see that beauty shining in someone who is willing or able to be vulnerable it moves me deeply.
