Re-membered

April 21, 2014 By Juanita Ryan 1 Comment

You knelt beside me
in my times of darkness
pouring Yourself—
Love, Life—
into me.

I had thought you left me,
but you did not.

When the time came
for me to re-member
the darkness,
you allowed me to
re-member you as well.
You knelt beside me
and your love—
brighter than all the darkness—
filled me.

——

Arise, shine, for your light has come,
and the glory of the Lord rises upon you.
Isaiah 60:1

These poems are so good. I’m starting to anticipate them each week – they touch the heart and mind in just the right spot!
